O! O! Sick-O!

This past week I've been sick. I have this horrendous, mucus-filled, body-thrusting cough that makes the condo walls shake. Seriously. For a couple of days there, I also had a runny nose resembling that of a constant drip-faucet. I now have a chapped nose and am down two boxes of tissue. Good thing Blair bought all of that toilet paper for back-up.

Ugh, it sucks being sick. The aches, the pains, the lack of sleep. But at least I've caught up on my Judge Judy; some things never change.

Holidays!

I'm so sorry that I haven't had a chance to update the blog in a while. I guess the Holiday Season keeps us all busy. But here's a quick summary...

Christmas was nice and quiet. Blair and I spent it with my family at home. We have certain traditions that we honor on Christmas Eve and this year was no different. The only downside was that I fell asleep early and didn't get to watch my favorite Holiday movie... oh well (it's not as though I haven't seen it 30 times before!). Christmas Day was lovely. My dad made his famous crepes, we opened generous gifts with gusto, and quality time was spent together. That afternoon, we went to my cousin's house for more eating, more gift-giving, and plenty o' fun! There must have been at least 40 people there which made it that much better. I've never considered that we had a "big" family, but as people get married and families expand, it's fun to be with everyone.

New Years 2009 was also quiet. Blair and I went to a movie before going to a really late dinner reservation. At midnight, we were enjoying crème brûlée together after having a romantic evening. It was a nice way to welcome in the New Year. Given that this year is going to be HUGE (we're getting married!) it was a great way to celebrate '09.

The next day, Blair and I were fortunate enough to get to go to the Rose Bowl game in Pasadena. We had amazing seats and whooped it up when USC won! It turned into a really long and draining day, though, as we had to do a lot of walking. Seems like everything went so fast it was all a blur.

January 2nd meant back to work... BOO! So here we are: back to the normal routine. Another year gone by and another year to look forward to. I hope everyone had Happy Holidays and I am excited to share in all the joys of 2009 with you!
