A Saturday of Wedding Stuff

Yesterday Blair and I went out to get REGISTERED. This has been something I've always been looking forward to! It was like being a kid in a candy shop - looking at all the stuff and imagining the possibilities! The only problem is that there are two people involved in this process... two people with very different tastes and styles.

I suppose this is the beginning of many disagreements - apples or oranges, cotton or linen, classical or jazz... Wouldn't be easier if we could just have two houses next to each other and we visit each other? Living together has definitely taught us the value of compromise (over and over again!) but it would be nice to have one easy decision that we both mutually agree upon. Eh, I guess we have many years to figure that out.

I'm also working on a couple of wedding websites for family and friends to visit. If you're interested, check out THIS SITE or THIS ONE. They're both a work in constant progress - I'm not too tech savvy so there aren't any bells and whistles but they should give decent information.

We also chose our wedding invitations. Those should go into the mail in early July. For now, please SAVE THE DATES: July 11 and September 5.

There's so much to do and so little time. Every weekend is a precious and valuable opportunity to get things done. I often think about all that there is to do (finalize a florist, finish registering, buy a veil, pick the undergarments, order the bridesmaid dresses, pick out and order flower girl dresses, pick out and order the tuxedos, order shoes, figure out gifts, write cards, decide the music, practice dancing with my dad, plan the rehearsal dinner, practice make-up, practice hair, pick out wedding rings, write vows, plan the honeymoon, talk about ceremony with officiant, AND DON'T FORGET TO BREATHE). One thing at a time, right? YEAHHHH...
