Friday, July 03, 2009Middle Of The NightIt's the middle of the night and I have just finished addressing, stamping, folding and stuffing 70 wedding invitations. Hallelujah! I'm so excited to pop these babies in the mail and see them return to me with YES or NO all over them. Yes, the wedding plans march on... only 64 days to go - but who is REALLY counting? I've loved this process so much and with it, I've fallen in love with my fiance all over again. These past 11 months of being engaged have been such fun - with some trying times around us. We championed through everything together, and for it, I'm so thankful. We make a great team and I know that joining our lives IN JUST 64 DAYS will be a truly special occasion. That being said, Blair and I are about to face another trying journey. The little test that I posted about last time is bringing me in for surgery this Tuesday. While we're being totally optimistic, I think we're both nervous... anxious... worried... But at least we're in it together. When the house is quiet and our little family sleeps, it's peaceful. These moments are rare. I guess I like these moments best if only to appreciate how lucky we are. And it's only going to get better... after Tuesday.
